FLETCHER, N.C. – Mission Health and Pardee Hospital held a ribbon cutting ceremony today to celebrate the opening of the new Mission Pardee Health Campus. The health campus will provide high quality, comprehensive and convenient outpatient care for a growing area of western North Carolina. Located at 2695 Hendersonville Road, the campus will open to the public on Oct. 1. “We are extremely proud to partner with Pardee Hospital to increase access to needed healthcare services for the people in the Fletcher community close to home,” said Ronald A. Paulus, MD, President and CEO of Mission Health. “The population of Fletcher and the surrounding area has been growing rapidly as has their need for superior healthcare services. Mission Health is committed to providing superb care to every community we serve as we strive to achieve our BIG(GER) Aim: to get each patient to the desired outcome, first without harm, also without waste and with an exceptional experience for every patient and family.”

The collaborating healthcare organizations will open a variety of services at the Mission Pardee Health Campus. Beginning Oct. 1, Pardee Hospital will provide an urgent care center and laboratory services, while Mission Health will open a retail pharmacy and offer advanced imaging by the Asheville Imaging Center.  Physicians from both Mission Health and Pardee Hospital are scheduled to open offices in early 2014.

Mission Health, Pardee Hospital and the YMCA of western North Carolina will also collaborate at a later date to provide an array of health and wellness services for the public at the Mission Pardee Health Campus. The YMCA will provide a healthy cooking room, group exercise classes, strength equipment, youth development programs and a variety of wellness programs to support the needs of the community.

The public is invited to attend  a Community Open House at the Mission Pardee Health Campus on Friday, Sept. 27 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Guests can take guided tours, meet the physicians and staff and take home giveaways.
